Carbon Foot Print

From rise to rest, almost all our activities contributes towards the increase of carbon in the environment. By the way do you know what is carbon footprint. im very sure that most people knew about greenhouse gas(GHG) and its effects. carbon footprint is the total set of GHG emissions caused directly and indirectly by individual or organisation.

click here to calculate your carbon footprints.

Here are few steps on what we can do to reduce carbon in our daily life..

1) Turn it off when not in use (laptops, lights, fan)
if the lights on the corridor/toilet are switch on during the day, i would like you to just switch it off. it could be the least you could do in reducing carbon emission.

2) Fill your dish washer and washing machine with a full load - this will save you water, electricity, and washing powder.

3) Do your weekly shopping in a single trip

4) Go for a run rather than drive to the gym

5)Fit energy saving light bulb

6) Car pool or use public transportation (except taxi because its just the same when you drive)

7) Buy organic produce

8) you could also plant a tree in your room (oxygen is good for brain. it could make you energetic and would increase your brain activity . in short its good for students)
